The following is a brief list of some of the services we provide:

Antenatal Care
We are part of the government Combined Care Scheme which enables women to 6 free antenatal visits and 2 post natal visits to check their health and their baby’s.

Blood Tests
Blood tests are done on Tuesday and Thursday mornings by our Practice Nurse. We then receive your results back from St. Vincent’s Hospital laboratory.

Blood Pressure Monitor
This is a test which records blood pressure at regular intervals during day and night over a 24-hour period. The readings help determine whether high blood pressure is present, but also how severe it is.

Cervical Smear Tests
These are available FREE for eligible women between the ages of 25 and 60 and are carried out by our Nurse every morning. To register for your free Smear test please ring 1800 454555. Upon receipt of a smear call letter you can then avail of this service at Clonard Medical. We also offer private smear tests for any woman outside the above criteria.

Childhood Immunisations
Baby immunisations are given each morning by our Practice Nurse. If however, you are unable to attend in the morning we will make an appointment for you in the afternoon.

Cryotherapy
Liquid Nitrogen is applied to warts, verrucas and skin tags to effectively remove them. Most cases will be covered by private health insurance i.e. Vhi, Quinn and Hibernian.

Dietician
Whether you need help achieving your weight loss goals, want assistance in chronic disease management, improving diabetes, cholesterol, or need advice to achieve any desired dietary goals our dietician, our resident dietician Niamh can assist you in realizing your best health potential with practical dietary and lifestyle recommendations.

Full Medical
We provide a comprehensive Medical Check-Up service for both men and women which includes a full written report summarising your current state of health. The full cost of this may be covered by your private health insurance. Ask reception for details.

Gardasil Vaccination
A course of 3 vaccinations over 6 months is recommended for girls/women aged between 9 and 26 to prevent Cervical Cancer. We have negotiated a significant discount for this vaccine.

Minor Skin Surgery & Suturing Of Lacerations 
We are able to remove moles lumps and bumps in minor surgery here at Clonard Medical on Wednesdays. We can repair wounds and administer tetanus immunisation as required.

Resting ECG
This is a non-invasive diagnostic test that measures and records the electrical activity of your heart. It can aid in the diagnosis of a wide range of heart conditions.

Warfarin Clinic
This clinic is held every Tuesday and includes the taking of a blood sample which is sent to the lab. As soon as the results are available, you will receive a call from our doctor advising you of any change in dose, confirming your next appointment and advising you of any lifestyle or medication that may affect Warfarin.

Physiotherapy service
We are pleased to announce that we have recently partnered with The Physio Company, Chartered Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinics to provide a wide range of high quality chartered physiotherapy services in Clonard Medical.

The Physio Company’s team of fully Chartered Physiotherapists will help you recover faster and minimise your chance of re-injury. They offer a range of services including effective treatment for back & neck pain, sports injuries, cervical & stress headaches, repetitive strain injuries, joint pain and postural disorders, dry needling, complimentary therapy, taping, deep tissue massage and sports massage. Orthotic assessments are also available in our Temple Bar, IFSC, Barrow, Ranelagh and Raheny clinics.
